Allen Jack Owen
Springfield - Allen "Jack" Owen, 91, of Springfield, MO., passed away on Monday, May 21, 2018. He was born on October 22, 1926. Jack was in the Army and a Veteran of WWII. He owned and operated Owen Contracting Company. Jack married Cynthia H. (LeFors) Owen in Springfield, MO on January 15, 2013. Jack was a member of Sunset Church of Christ. He loved farming, fishing, and knitting.
Jack was preceded in death by a wife, Carolyn Owen, a second wife, Mary Helen Crighton Owen, infant daughter, Janet Lynn Owen, two brothers, Gene and Melvin Owen, two sisters, Cornelia Moore and Kakie Montgomery.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia H Owen, children, Jill and (Tom) Morrison, Lisa and (Bill) Buckler, sister, Jane Klingner, step-children, Johney and (Beverly) Walker, Tim Walker and Lori Fox, five grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Services for Jack will be on Wednesday May 23, 2018 at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior to service at 10:00 am in Greenlawn Funeral Home South. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Sunset Ladies Sewing Group.
