PIKES CREEK — Betty Jane Remley, 93, of Pikes Creek, passed away May 25, 2018, at the Timber Ridge Healthcare Facility in Wilkes-Barre.
She was born Jan. 27, 1925, in Pikes Creek, and was the eldest child of the late William H. Naugle Sr. and Mildred Sayre Naugle. Betty enjoyed playing both piano and organ at Maple Grove United Methodist Church and other church events for many years, as well as during family vacations to the New Jersey beaches and social times with many friends of the family. She will be remembered for her support and generosity to family and friends, her love of music and her home-baked desserts.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Edward Agnew; her second husband, Carl H. Remley Sr.; sons Albert Eric Agnew and Douglas J. Agnew; daughter Carol J. Remley Davis; and brothers Gerald Naugle Sr., Lloyd Naugle Sr., Louis Naugle and William Naugle Jr.

Another pillar of the Maple Grove United Methodist Church is gone. I graduated with Robbie and worked with Ricky at Shelly's and went to church every week with the Remley/Agnew family's. Betty and Karl were always giving their time and service to the Church. Sorry to hear of your loss no matter how old your mom is it is hard to say goodbye. To all the family I hope your good memories will help you through this time.
