Julia Bower Obituary

Julia E. (Sanza) Bower, age 90, Highland Manor, Perkiomen Twp., died Sunday, June 3, 2018, in Seasons Hospice At Phoenixville Hospital. She was a former resident of Collegeville and longtime resident of Bridge St. Perkiomen Twp. Julia was born on September 10, 1927, in Philadelphia. She was the only child of the late Lawrence and Catherine (Turse) Sanza. Before retiring, Julia was a sales clerk and secretary for Collegeville jeweler A.W. Zimmerman and his successor Michael Whitby. Julia was a member of St. Eleanor Catholic Church where she sang in the choir and was a cantor for funeral masses. She also sang with the Norristown Chorale. Julia was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Lee Del Ponte. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, June 12th, at St. Eleanor Catholic Church, 647 Locust St., Collegeville. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, E. Norriton Twp. Arrangements are by Holcombe Funeral Home, Inc., Trappe.
