I am so sorry for your loss. I was one of the many students lucky enough to be taught by Mr. Showers in 7th and 12th grades. He was an encouraging and engaging teacher who taught us how to write well and how to think critically. Only as an adult did I realize the immense skill and intelligence he brought to his work, since he was one of the greats who made it look easy. He helped me see myself as a writer and he took what I had to say seriously, both priceless gifts. Along with a few other fabulous English teachers at CHHS, he inspired me to major in English and his teaching still helps me every single day. Thank you for sharing him with all of us. You are in my thoughts.

I was one of the many Camp Hill students who enjoyed Mr. Shower's English class. I went on to WVU and majored in business but took English classes for all of my electives. Mr. Showers got me started and Terry Bechtold solidified my love of writing. Thank You for being the teacher that you were and for caring so much. You literally got me through college. CHHS 83

I'm sad to hear of Mr. Shower's passing. He was a great teacher, and influential to my 7th grade mind. He shared a favorite story of his with us one time, "The Precious Present". It's a story I still keep close to heart.

I'm very sad to hear of the passing of Mr. Showers. I was one of his 7th grade English students and he challenged me to be a great English student. To this day, I feel that he was one of my most influential teachers and recognize how lucky I am to have had him as a teacher. He definitely made a difference in my education. My condolences to his family.

I am saddened to hear of Russ's passing. May God bless the family as they mourn his loss.
I know Russ by way of Camp Hill High School where he was a 7th grade English teacher. The kids loved him.
I was a young teacher at the same school and he deeply loved his profession.
Blessings,
Craig Zerby
