Helen S. Kreutz
It is with a heavy heart the Kreutz Family shares the passing of our beloved mother.
Helen Seney Kreutz was born in Toledo on January 17, 1930. She attended Maumee Valley Country Day and graduated from Vassar College and Columbia Law School. Mom is the seventh consecutive generation of lawyers dating back to Joshua Seney, a member of the Second Continental Congress of 1776.
She practiced law in Toledo, where Mom met and married her devoted husband and our father, William L. Kreutz in 1955. She practiced with Dad until her first child was born, then focused on what she felt was her most important role, raising four adoring and blessed children.
Mom led her life with purpose and dedicated her time to pursuits that both inspired her and impacted others. While her sense of wonderment and adventure called her and Dad to extraordinary lands around world she always looked forward to coming home to the place she loved the most, Toledo.
Mom was a member of the Junior League of Toledo, the Toledo Country Club, the Toledo Naturalists Society, the Nature Conservancy and led walks in our area metro parks for over 20 years.
She loved traveling with her husband and four kids, walking at Wildwood, visiting our great zoo, cooking exquisite meals for her family and friends and birding at Magee Marsh, especially when it was just a quiet dirt trail.
We love this wonderful and classy lady with all our hearts and will miss her for every one of the rest of our days.
Mom is survived by four children Frank (Anita), David (Cheryl) Anne Hughes and Sarah McIntyre (Pat); 12 grandchildren Kevin, Brian, JP, Nicole, Amelia, Owen, Ellen, Hannah, Laura, Nick, Will, and Colin; and four great grandchildren Hez, Zeke, Austin and Camden.
