Dolores ("Dee") Faye Johnson
Dolores ("Dee") Faye Johnson, age 88, passed away June 11, 2018, in Chesterfield, MO. Born January 29, 1930, Kansas City, MO, Dee was adopted into the loving family of Herbert and Blanche Martin of Reno County, KS. Dee became an older sister to the late Doris Phillips. Dee was bestowed honors of a beauty pageant queen, valedictorian, and editor of her high school newspaper.
In 1952, Dee received her BA in Education from University of Kansas. Upon graduation, Dee began teaching English and Drama at Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, KS.
In 1958, Dee married Bill Dean Johnson (deceased 2001). She was a devoted loving wife and mother. They dedicated themselves to the endeavors of their children: Kyle, Kay, and Ken and resided in Shoreline, WA. Dee is survived by her children and seven grandchildren: Jackson, Michael, Brandon, Ava, Eric, Quinlan, and Rio.
The family will celebrate Dee's life on Saturday, June 16,
at Beck's Funeral Home in Edmonds, WA. Visitation from
9 am-12 pm, a Memorial
12-12:30 pm and graveside service
at Restlawn Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made in Dee's name to The Alzheimer's Foundation of America (www.alzfdn.org).
