He enjoyed an early affiliation with St. Francis Catholic Church in Staunton which continued to be meaningful throughout his life.

Maybe too late for this but I'll try. In the 1950's, I was a young camper at Camp Wallawhatoola around Harrisonburg/Staunton/Clifton Forge/Millboro Creek, VA and had a camp counselor who impressed me named Pete Tattersall. The age difference fits. Could this be the same man? Are there any relatives left who might be able to answer this?

Good times with Pete at VMI. Forming the polo team and playing an exibition match against UVa on the parade ground was pretty cool but didn't please the administration! Reunited for old times sake at our 50th reunion in Lexington. May you rest in peace Brother Rat.
