Guadalupe M. (Lupe) Palacios, November 22, 1929- June 11, 2018 Guadalupe M. Palacios passed away at home on the afternoon of June 11th, 2018 at the age of 88 years old. Guadalupe was born on November 22nd, 1929 in Eaton, CO to Eduardo and Francis Maldonado. Soon after Guadalupe was born her family moved to Albuquerque, NM.
Ernesto and Guadalupe were married on May 22nd 1953 at San Jose Catholic Church and were together until Ernesto's death on August 20th, 2008. They raised one daughter and two sons at their home in Albuquerque. Guadalupe loved her children and grandchildren and great- grandchildren deeply and they were the joy of her life. Guadalupe is preceded in death by her husband, Ernesto H. Palacios; father, Eduardo Maldonado and Mother, Francis Maldonado; sisters, Lucy Hernandez and Teresa Montoya; brothers, Max Maldonado, Ralph Maldonado, Joe Maldonado, Eduardo Maldonado Jr., and Frankie Maldonado; son-in-law, Stan Vargas; daughter-in-law, Bridgett Palacios.
Guadalupe is survived by her daughter, Marina Vargas; son, Carlos Jaime Palacios and his wife, Martha and son, Ernest Rene Palacios and sisters, Helen Gurule and Esther Gonzales; brothers Tony Maldonado and Johnnie Maldonado; grandchildren, Marco, Vanessa, Marisa, Carlos, Adrian, Jonathan; great grandchildren, Avery, Nicholas, Leila, Myles and (soon to be born Liam); sisters in law, Pauline Maldonado and Alice Maldonado; many beloved nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday June 23rd 2018 at 10:00 AM at Trinity at the Marketplace at 2520 Chama NE with reception to follow in the Fellowship Hall.
