Gerard A. Salese Kinnelon great-grandfather Gerard A. Salese of Kinnelon, N.J., passed away on June 16, 2018. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, June 19, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home in Pompton Plains, N.J. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Our Lady of the Magnificat R.C. Church in Kinnelon. Gerard is survived by his devoted wife, Joanne; his loving children, Donna Pierce and her husband, Eric, Janet Silvestri and her husband, Tony, Virginia Salese, and Linda McFadden; eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gerard's name can be made to Alzheimer's New Jersey or the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
