Carl Stebelton
Amanda - Carl Wayne Stebelton, 96, of Amanda, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018 at the Pickering House. He was born July 20, 1921 in Amanda and was the son of the late Boyd and Clara (Stump) Stebelton. Carl proudly served our country during World War II in the Army Air Corp. He was a graduate of Amanda High School and a member of First Baptist Church in Circleville. Carl was a former owner of Stebelton Builders and was known for his artistic woodworking skills.
Carl is survived by his son John Wayne (Margaret) Stebelton of Circleville and his children TaLisa, LaNita, CaTina and Chad; daughters, Linda Lee (Don) McCormick of Lancaster and her children Chris and Jay, Patty Ann Karr of South Charleston and her children Jason and Jordan, and Kathy Rae Rickly of Amanda and her children Carri and Kaylee; seventeen great grandchildren and fifteen great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Theresa Stebelton and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Annabel (Hodge) Stebelton; great grandson, Bradley Timmons; sisters, Joyce and Janice; and brothers, John, Ronald, Roger, Tom, Richard and Robert.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda. A grave side service will follow at Amanda Twp. Cemetery where military honors will be provided.
