REDFORD, Mich. - June Martha Anderson, 97, Redford, formerly of Galesburg, Illinois, wife of the late John, passed away at 8:05 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018, in Beaumont Hospital, Farmington. Neely-Turowski Funeral Home, 30200 Five Mile Road, Livonia, is in charge of arrangements. Public visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 24, at the funeral home, followed by a family reception at her home between 4 and 6 p.m. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, in Galva Cemetery, Illinois 17, Galva, Illinois.
Born June 1, 1921, in Knox County, Illinois, she was the daughter of Carl and Esther Anderson. June was preceded in death by her husband, John K. Anderson, her sister Edith Tolbert and her brother Arthur Anderson. Surviving are two daughters, Janice (Eric) Good of Galesburg, Illinois, and Jane (Allen) Ripper of Redford; four grandchildren, Kenneth ( Donata) Ripper of Pinellas Park, Florida, Erik ( Kristin Dannheiser) Ripper of Newburgh, Indiana, Mark (Annette) Ripper of Northville. She was the great-grandmother of Hadley May-Ripper, Berkley Ripper, Melissa Ripper, Gavin Ripper and Dylan Ripper.
June and her husband farmed in Oneida, Illinois, before moving to Wataga, Illinois, where she worked for the U. S. Postal Service until she retired. She resided in Galesburg, Illinois, before moving to Redford. She enjoyed sewing and needlework.
