Austin Troy Ashley
Taylorsville - Austin Troy Ashley, 19, of Taylorsville, died on Sunday, the 24th day of June, 2018. Born in Louisville, he was the son of Troy and Missy Ashley. He was a member of and attended church at The Refuge in Louisville. A graduate of Spencer County High School, he was a plumber and employee of Blackburn & Davis, Inc. A football player from the age 5, he played fullback and linebacker for the Spencer County Bears. Passionate about outdoor sports and activities, he also enjoyed rock climbing and fishing. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Walter Ashley of Brandenburg.
His survivors include his parents, Troy and Missy Ashley of Taylorsville; his brothers, Joey Sharrard Ashley and Steven Ashley also of Taylorsville; his nephew, Taylor Sharrard Ashley; his maternal grandparents, Roger and Gina Woods of Taylorsville; his paternal grandmother, Rosie Ashley of Brandenburg; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends whom he loved and who loved him.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 A.M., Friday, the 29th day of June, 2018, at the Spencer Christian Church, with Reverend Darin Ashley officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M., until 8:00 P.M., Thursday, 28 June 2018, at Spencer Christian Church, and expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to The Refuge, 7209 Fegenbush Lane, Louisville, Kentucky 40228. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Taylorsville and online condolences may be expressed at www.halltaylorfuneralhomes.com

So very very sad always, to see the obit of a young person. And since an Ashley, is some degree of cousin on my maternal side. Bless all who loved, and was loved by, him.
