Veronica P. Piasecki

Veronica P. "Vera" Piasecki, age 94, of Lynnfield, died Friday, June 29 at the Sunrise Assisted Living. Born in Chelsea on January 19, 1924 she was the daughter of the late Michael and Stephena (Bartoszevich) Garniewicz. Vera was the Past State President of the Polish American Veterans Auxiliary of Massachusetts and the Past President of the P.A.V. Auxiliary of Chelsea. She was a volunteer and past President of the family council at the Chelsea Soldiers Home. She was also a past President of the Lynnfield Centre Club and was an agent for Polish Women's Alliance of Chicago. She was the wife of the late Alfred J. Piasecki. She was the mother of Raymond M. Piasecki and his wife May of Bradenton, FL, Jeffrey A. Piasecki of Peabody, and the late Philip Piasecki. She was the mother-in-law of Janice Piasecki of No. Andover. She was the grandmother of Noel Mason and Raymond M. Piasecki, II. of Bradenton, FL, Chris Piasecki and his wife Heather and Michael Piasecki and his wife Sharon, all of Lafayette, LA, Jennifer Jacobs and her husband Chris of Lubbock, TX, Jeffrey Piasecki, Jr. of Peabody, Jacklyn Piasecki of Portland, ME and the late Laura Piasecki. She was the great grandmother of Anthony Mason, Alexa Flaherty, and Alex, Sidney, Shelby, Gabriella, Benjamin, Elliott, and Landry Piasecki. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Maria Goretti Church, 112 Chestnut St., Lynnfield on Monday, July 9 at 10am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held in the church prior to the mass beginning at 9am. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Arrangements in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Maria Goretti Church, 112 Chestnut St., Lynnfield, MA 01940.
