Clora E. Wolfe

Clora Essie Wolfe, age 87 years, passed away peacefully Friday morning, June 29, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born September 9, 1930 in Cleveland County, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Charles and Lillie (Spangler) Carpenter. On July 27, 1950 Clora Carpenter married her high school sweetheart Laurence J. Wolfe Sr. and after 68 years of marriage together he survives her. In addition to her husband Larry she is also survived by her children, Emmaline (John) Solberg, Jacqueline (Ludwig) Rupff, Karen Wolfe and Laurence J. (Ann) Wolfe Jr.; grandchildren, Joshua, Kristin, Rebecca, David and Jeremy; four great-grandchildren and her very dear niece, Doris Brackett (Brinson) Clements. Clora was preceded in death by her only sister, Clara Ruth Brackett and her nephew, Charles Brackett. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at the Westminster Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Linda Williams officiating with private burial at Floral Gardens Cemetery. The family will gather with friends on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at church.
