I knew Alan as my next door neighbor on the reservoir in Danvers. He was a good man. We used to burn brushes along the waterfront together

Always willing to take his time to answer the difficult questions in full, Alan the attorney was one of the best. Dedicated, kind, personable, lover of animals and ever with a smile for you, Alan lives on in the hearts of many as a bright light. Thank you Alan for being you.

I knew Alan from his involvement in Topsfield matters mostly, and always found him to be dedicated and knowledgeable in whatever he did. My thoughts go out to his family and friends on the loss of this wonderful individual.

One of my favorite customers at VIP Cleaners. I'm sad to hear this, I will miss him and Snookie coming in weekly. I saw him 6/29th right before our 4th of July week off. RIP Mr. Grenier <3

"Alan was a great friend and I feel as if I have lost a brother. We shared many great times together over
the past forty years, such as Red Sox games, making apple cider, and fishing at the reservoir. It is hard
to believe he has passed but my memories will be forever."

Alan was always endeared to all who knew him. My daughter and I worked for him at Grenier & Associates. He always had a laugh and a smile. My heart goes out to Joyce Volpe, who Alan was lucky to have in his life.....she gave him great joy. Will miss seeing you at the 6s Alan......Thank you for all that you helped me with.........

Alan and I were colleagues for more than 40 years. We were often on different sides of the case, but it was always fun to be with Alan, and to work with him. I am particularly fond of animals, and shared that with Alan. About 18 years ago my golden mix Miss pocket was killed in front of my house on Sylvan Street. I was devastated. The following day I received a beautiful card with a hand written note from Alan extending his condolences for my loss. I have never forgotten that kindness, and I was happy to see him last December on a particular matter. Unfortunately my health condition kept me from continuing my work with him,on that matter.I will remember him fondly and with respect. He was fun.

I knew Alan a little bit at Boston University Law School, and then, through life's twists and turns, we ended up working at the same law firm for many years. Alan was a very capable lawyer. My condolences to his family. Bob Holloway

Although I became a partner at Ardiff & Morse, Alan's old firm, that was long after Alan had left--I did not meet Alan until I was about to rent his old office on Rt. 1 in Topsfield 15 years ago. Alan could not have been more gracious! What I really remember about him otherwise, though, was that he was always with his dogs. Entering his office meant embracing his dogs, an attribute that I just loved, being an animal lover myself. What a fitting tribute that you have requested contributions to an animal shelter. I am so sorry to hear of Alan's passing, but I trust that you will be comforted by his memory, and that family will care for his dogs in his honor.
