Henry Walter Brewer

Henry Walter Brewer, age 72, passed away on November 24, 2014 in Plano, TX. Henry was born on February 18, 1942 in Bryan, Texas to the parents of H.C. and Betty Brewer. Henry was the type of person Texas Tall Tales are written about. He was a True Texas gentleman. His core values were faith in Jesus Christ, family first, character, integrity, and loyalty. His greatest joys were time spent with his wife, three children, six grandchildren, and his red dog named Dillon. Henry's friendships span his entire life. When he called you 'friend', it was forever. He had an over-flowing sense of humor and captivating smile. Henry would always greet you with a big hug and a hearty pat on the back. Henry was an outstanding athlete. He excelled at every sport he played. A few of his accomplishments include raising a prize winning Holstein cow, taking his team to a State win as a baseball pitcher, he was a record-setting football fullback and punter, a rodeo cowboy, and avid golfer. Henry loved life, music, and dance. He was a master woodworker. He took simple pieces of wood and created intricate pieces of art disguised as furniture. His talent led him to Celeste, the love of his life, whom he married 16 years ago. Our hearts are broken but we find comfort knowing that the master carpenter was there to greet our husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, with open arms. Henry is preceded in death by his parents H.C. and Betty. He is survived by his wife Celeste Brewer of 16 years; son Scott Brewer and wife Kim; daughter Kimberly Senn; son Michael Ivey and wife Suzie; brother Charlie Brewer and wife Ester; brother Malcolm Brewer and wife Beverly; brother Jerry Brewer and wife Beth; sister Rosie Moncrief and husband Mike; grandchildren Dakota, Dodger, Delaney, Avery, Brenden and Lauren, and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 2:00PM at the Plano Bible Chapel located at 1900 Shiloh Rd., Plano, TX, 75074. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations to be made in Henry's honor to the Wounded Warrior Project.
