My condolences to the friends and family of this man who loved his community. Among his many other accomplishments in his life, his creation of The Waltham Museum is a legacy that will continue to inspire and teach Walthamites for generations.

Several years after graduation from WHS I had the honor of attending a lecture at the Senior Center in Waltham which was given by Albert. Although it had been several years since I had seen him he immediately recognized me and introduced me to the audience. I remember, and still have the letter which he sent me to acknowledge the information I had furnished regarding my brother's. heroic service during WW11. I was so impressed and appreciative of his thoughtful ,letter that I still have it in my memory book.
Rest in peace, Albert.
You will not be forgotten.

To Al Arena's family - As with so many of our dear veterans who are resident at the Bedford VA Hospital, I think there are many family members and caregivers that feel the same as I do. Visiting my sweet husband, Rocky, several times each week since February 2017, I was able to form a special bond to the others, including your dear husband/father/grandfather/relative/friend. What wonderful interesting life he had. Hang onto your wonderful memories. God bless you all. Sending special thoughts and prayers to all of you.
With Deepest Sympathy,
Mrs. Carol Ann Ruggiero

Jean and boys: I am so sorry to hear of Al's passing. He was a great man, with so many wonderful facts about Waltham stored in his memory. He truly loved this City and his family and he will be missed. Our City was a richer place for his having given so much of himself to it.
Bless you all
