Renato Leva
Port Chester - Renato Leva, of Port Chester, passed away July 27, 2018, at age 89. He was born September 18, 1928 in Italy, the son of Modesto & Liberata Leva. He built and established one of the largest paint contracting companies in the metro area, Chalgo Paint Co., Inc. in Mt. Vernon. An outdoorsman, he was an avid hunter and fisherman and also enjoyed playing golf. He is fondly remembered for his homemade wines and delicious tomato sauce as well as his love of gardening. He was a hard working immigrant who instilled and provided the American dream and a wonderful life for his 8 children. Renato is the cherished father of, Enzo Leva (Hollie Powell), Vincent Leva, James Leva (Paula), Dino Leva (Sabina), Renato Leva Jr (Laura), Regina Bertone, Renata Leva and Christina Leva, devoted grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of 1. He is also survived by his former wife, Phyllis Leva. To honor Renato's life, family and friends will gather on Wednesday 4-8pm at the Mamaroneck location of COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME 767 E. Boston Post Rd Mamaroneck, 914-698-5968. Funeral Mass Thursday 9:30 at Church of Don Bosco (Our Lady of Mercy) in Port Chester followed by interment at St. Mary's Cemetery.
