Lafayette - Memorial Services will be held Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. for Joseph Junius Cluse Jr., 64, who died July 27, 2018.
Joseph Junius Cluse Jr. was born July 27, 1954 to the late Joseph Cluse, Sr. and the late Emily Bernard. He was a native of Lafayette LA. He traveled to numerous states collecting artifacts and souvenirs. He enjoyed life to the fullest. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, sitting on the porch enjoying a good cup of coffee. He spent time volunteering, giving back to the community, feeding the homeless, leading prayer groups, and working as a tour guide for Acadian Village.
He leaves to cherish his memories his three sisters, Elsie Cluse Francis (Carlton P., Sr.) of Lafayette, LA, Dora Cluse (Terry Rabon) of Lafayette, LA and Karen Cluse Batiste (Hubert, Jr.) of Katy, Texas; one brother, John Kenneth Cluse, Sr. (Wynne) of Carencro, LA.; one half-brother, Chavers Lockett of Baldwin, LA.; two half-sisters, Daynesses Cluse and Adlene Cluse (Dave Solomon), both of Lafayette, LA. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Joseph Cluse, Sr. and Ms. Emily Bernard; his maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Willie (Margie) Bernard; his paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Macklin (Adlene) Cluse; one nephew, Claude James Dwayne Cluse; his maternal uncle/godfather, Leslie Bernard; his paternal uncles, Maxie Cluse, Earnest Johnson and Clifton Arceneaux.
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Syrie Funeral Home from 1:30 p.m. until time of service.

Joseph was a kind and loving friend who touched the lives of many, many people. I have been incredibly blessed to have known him and the world was a better place because he was in it.I will greatly miss him and the times we spent talking, praying, and laughing.Joseph made a huge impact on my life and I am forever thankful for his friendship and his strong commitment in following Jesus Christ.Peace and blessings to his family and countless number of friends.
