Uncle Lou was The Man!!! He could rally us kids into a frenzy of excitement in anticipation of what he was going to do next! The Karibo/Kenny Club was his brainchild and we were his loyal participants.
Everything was more fun when Uncle Lou was around and we Love him Dearly and always will!

So sorry to discover that Lou has passed away. Lou and I worked together at the Dept. of Parks when he was Commissioner, played golf together at the Parks' outings; everyone loved him as he was fun, good-hearted and always enjoyed life. I offer my heartfelt condolences to his family.

My heart i saddened today as I read this obituary. It reminded me of the good times at South Park Country Club and how Lou inspired us to become better swimmers, divers and good citizens. May you all know God's Peace & Love.

Lou was a wonderful friend and a really great guy. He and Ree were a 'laugh a minute.' Norma and I will remember, forever, the hilarious times we spend in the cocktail lounge at Big Spring Country Club, listening to the Bear Bryant 'tales' and the collegiate experiences of Lou, Ree, Harry & Larry Jones and their wives. He was nicknamed "Let 'em out Lou" when fellow classmate, Gov. John Y. Brown, appointed him to the State Parole Board!!!!!!!
A life well-led with a ton of fun and friends. Everyone who knew Lou will forever remember him - and those who didn't really missed knowing a 'good guy.'
