One of my fondest memories of Uncle Jerry was my military hop to Texas. While I was there, the word came down from SAC headquarters that he got a promotion to full bird Col. This little 2 stripe airman was partying with the BIG brass at his base. He made me feel like one of them, not his young nephew visiting. And who could ever forget getting to climb up into the cockpit of a B-52. You will be missed Uncle Jerry.
