Richard R. Farias, 77, born in San Antonio on September 4, 1940 to Luciano and Maria Farias, passed away on August 15, 2018. He graduated from Harlandale High School and married his high school sweetheart Yolanda Gallardo in 1960, they shared 57 years of marriage. A dedicated family man with a strong faith in God, and strong work ethic, he loved beach trips, road trips throughout the U.S., backyard barbecues, listening to music, and playing the accordion and piano. He worked for Borden Dairy for 37 years until retirement.
Preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Ray, Frank, Ernest, Margie Casillas; In-laws, Jesse and Concha Gallardo; children, Sandy Panek, Rick; and beloved dog, Bouncer. He is survived by his loving wife; children, Patty (Richard) Alcoser, Rhonda Farias, Roland (Brenda) Farias; along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Rosary will be recited on August 22nd, 7:00 pm at Porter Loring Mortuary North. A procession will depart from Porter Loring North at 9:30am on August 23rd to funeral mass at St. Mark the Evangelist, with interment following at San Jose Burial Park.
