Cynthia Lorrimer Vialva Phillip born March 30, 1936, passed on August 12, 2018.
She was a loving mother to Inga, Rossano, and Gerard and grandmother to Madison and Inge.
Cynthia could be crazy, witty, eccentric, and spontaneous; always inspiring people to live life to the fullest. She lived a life of adventure filled with both national and international travel, immersing herself into the local culture and enjoying the flavors of the world, while staying away from the expected path.
Cynthia worked hard to give her children as many opportunities as possible. She came to America and succeeded in overcoming many obstacles as a young, single mother. Inspiring her children and friends to take chances and enjoy life without regret, she was generous with her guidance and knowledge as well as her finances. She supported multiple charities and would never let a stranger go without. Cynthia loved passionately and stepped into relationships with a full heart.
We will all miss her deeply.

Inga, Rossano & Gerard, your mom was very special to me. She would tease me every single morning asking, "Where's my breakfast?" when I came in to CHFA. One time she cooked me pigs feet and though I wasn't sure I was ready to try them, I did and they were delicious! She was feisty, witty, smart, and full of life. I will never forget her. I wish you peace, comfort, and lovely memories of her.

Inga, Rossano & Gerard I loved your mom very much. She would always crack me up when she called me. We would have long conversations laugh and just have a good time. She was a dear friend of mine and I will miss her calls just to say "hi my darling", and she would always tell me she loved me before hanging up. I miss her dearly as I know you all do. Blessing to you all.

I was surprised to read of Cynthia's passing. I live on the other side of the alley from her house, and noticed I hadn't seen her around lately. I apologize for not knowing her better than I should have. She was always extremely nice to me when we happened to meet, and we kept each other up to date on neighborhood news. She welcomed me with some produce from her garden when I first moved into my house. I am so sorry for your loss, and it is obvious that she touched so many lives in so many positive ways. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, and in the warm memories of time spent in her company.
