Robert C. Bailey, age 84, of Rockton, Pa., passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at his home after a long, 5-year battle with cancer.
Robert was born July 12, 1934, in Curwensville, Pa., the son of the late Clifford and Miriam (Swatsworth) Bailey.

Robert, a saved born-again Christian since 1972, was a member of the Gelnett Memorial Church where he held the position of head deacon and song director.
He is also survived by his beloved children: Janell Allen and her husband Warren of Parrish, Fla., Denise Woods and her husband Lyle of DuBois, Pa., Tammy Johnson of Lake Worth, Fla., and Brian Bailey and his wife Virginia of Topeka, Kan.; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Tom Bailey and his wife Martha of Norton, Ohio, Pastor Sherman Bailey and his wife Pam of Akron, Ohio; three sisters, Nancy Conrad and her husband Blaine of Alton, Mo., Dixie Horn of Rockton, Pa., and Pat Marley and her husband Bob of Rockton, Pa.

Prayers to the Bailey family. I remember fondly the nights spent overnight at the Bailey home. You were always so welcoming. True role models for me in high school and I am forever grateful. I can still hear Ruth calling me Kelley. God Bless!
