Henry Bornhauser Lyman

Resident of San Leandro
Henry Lyman died August 28, 2018 in San Leandro, California. A long time San Leandro resident, He was a native of Oakland. The son of the late Bernard Lyman and Elizabeth Bornhauser, he was born in 1918. He was the husband of the late Ethel Medeiros and brother of the late Nell Vieira. He is survived by his daughter Lisa McCollom and her husband Paul, grandson Matthew and his wife Karima. He is also survived by his nieces, Nancy Kreitzer (Robert), Cathy Stanchina , Christine Cornett (Don) and their families. He was a decorated veteran of World War II with a Bronze Star for Bravery. He was also a 32 year veteran firefighter, retiring from the Emeryville Fire Department as Chief. He was a good, kind and loving man who will be deeply missed. Per his written instructions there are no services.
