John W. Erickson, 71
STERLING - John W. Erickson, 71, passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018 at UMass Memorial Healthcare – University Campus after an illness. He was born in Worcester, the son of late Irving S. and Helen I. (Kinnari) Erickson and had lived in Worcester before moving to Sterling in 1996.
John leaves his loving wife and best friend of 50 years, Susan A. (Stone) Erickson; his son, John "Jack" W. Erickson, Jr. and his wife, Julie of Westford; two daughters, Candice A. Mendez and her husband, Luis of Sterling and Shannon N. Erickson and her fiancé, Nicholas Mitchell of Lincoln, RI; his cherished grandchildren, Alexander, Samantha, Eric, Nicholas and Gunnar; his brother, Glenn Erickson of Westerly, RI; his sister, Ingrid Donahue and her husband, John of Westerly, RI; a brother-in-law, Robert Stone and his wife Karen of Brooklyn, CT; and his nephews.
John was a commercial artist for LaVigne Press in Worcester for 23 years before retiring. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and was a devoted husband and father. He will be sadly missed.
A memorial service celebrating John's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 7th in the Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling. I worked with John at Lavigne for 15 years. For all of those years he was my dearest and closest friend!

My condolences on Mr. Erickson's passing. You all were a big part of my childhood and I have lots of fond memories of the times we spent together on Crestwood Dr. and Monmouth Ave.
