Mrs. Lillie Mae Harper ""Grannie,"" 91, of 105 North Plains Drive, Petersburg, VA, peacefully went to join her creator Thursday evening, August 30, 2018, at 9:47 pm at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg, VA.
She was born October 24, 1926, in Dinwiddie County, VA, to the late Fannie E. Walker and the late Peter Jones Sr. She was a house wife for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Harper, Sr; and daughter, Ollie M. Brooks.
She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted daughter, Shirley Branch (Edward) of Petersburg, VA; one son, Richard Harper (Myra) of Dinwiddie, VA; one brother, Peter Jones, Jr. (Joyce) of Petersburg, VA, one sister-in-law, Bertha Manson; ten grandchildren, Bertha Jones (Larry), Virginia Jeter (devoted), Barbara Harper, James Harper, Alice Rives, Lloyd Green, Gail Hobbs, Kim Fulton, Erlene Ballard, and Ervin Fulton; thirty-one great grandchildren, Ralph Jeter, Crystal Jeter (devoted), Shavone Hall, Alexis Jeter, Shakeeta Green, Jamie Harper, Elijah Harper, Tamika Jordan(Brandon), Dematrice Rives, Lamont Rives, Gabrielle Rives, Lakesha Rives, Lloydmeisha Williams, Lloyd Green, Jr., Tyvone Graise, Ladarius Green, Jene Fulton, Gregory Jones Jr., Emayh Hobbs, Khadijah Gattie, Anthony Ballard, Damion Ballard, Jasmine Lovett, Ervin Levette, Morgan Fulton, Ebony Fulton, and Prince Fulton; twenty great-great grandchildren, Jaxon, Ariel, Karmyn, Kenya, Kamoriyon, Kamoria, Kera, Kyla, Kaiden, Keonte, Kamilla, Zi'Naeja, Khalijah, Shzmen, Treveon, Kenya, Ra'miyah, Delmon, Onjanae, and Orlando Jr.; one niece, Charity Holleman (Anthony); one nephew, Gerrod Jones; three great nieces, Tayona, Zuri, and Zanyia, one great nephew, Lamar; a host of cousins, and two devoted family friends, Verelyn Buford and Debi Mersie.
Homegoing service will held Saturday, September 8, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Bland & Tucker Funeral Home, Petersburg. Rev. Dr. Larry D. Brown, Sr., officiating. Interment will follow at Dinwiddie Memorial Park, Petersburg, VA.
