I joined a gym today and was remembering my amazing gymnastics teacher from when I was a child. A light that shone so bright I still remember it 40 years later-and still feel it, too. All of her marathons are in heaven now. I will offer a wish for peace for the earth from her and me with each step I take. God bless you Gerlinde.

To the family of Gerlinde. I am so sorry to learn of the passing of Gerlinde. She used to come in to Scottrade in Portsmouth where I first met her, and I helped her with her investments. But she was so much more than just a client. She was so personable and friendly, and always had many wonderful stories to tell. We often talked for over an hour. She was so wise that I relished the times that we spoke. We would always say we had to get together over coffee or dinner, because we never finished all that we had to say. My regret now is we never did. I will miss her a great deal. You were lucky to have her a part of your lives. Clint Frary.

I have many wonderful memories of Gerlinde when we both lived in Lexington. I attended her exercise classes and she was always an inspiration. My condolences to her family.
