Eflyn "Mickie or Effie" Villery,78, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2018 with her daughter Michele by her side.Born in Memphis, TN, Effie was the daughter of the late Gilbert and John Ella (Langston) Goodrich. She attended Schenectady County Community College and received a degree form Spencer Business institute.A former employee of the General Electric Company, Effie worked for many years as a secretary at O.D. Heck in Niskayuna, NY. She was a member of the former St Helen's Church in Niskayuna, was an avid reader and loved to knit, crochet, latch hook and cook.Effie was definitely a woman who enjoyed doing all crafts.Predeceased in 2009 by her beloved husband, Joseph Villery, Effie is survived by her daughter, Michele T. Villery of Niskayuna; her sister, Gertrude Keys of Niskayuna; her husband's children, Enrico Villery and Altoria Villery Prince both of Beaumont, TX; her grandchildren, Aidah Prince Marshall (Cortland) and Zuri Prince and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.Funeral services will be held for Effie on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY with the Rev.
