Bobby Lindler Monts LITTLE MOUNTAIN Bobby Lindler Monts, 62, of Little Mountain died Wednesday, September 12, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was at his home and surrounded by his loving family. He was a son of Robert Mayer and Eva Margie Monts, both of whom preceded him in death. Bobby was born August 24, 1956 in Prosperity, SC. Bobby was employed at the Georgia Pacific Corporation in Prosperity, SC, for 40 years. His passion was his family, NASCAR racing (always pulling for the #28 car), and the love of the old western movies. Bobby was also a devoted USC Gamecock fan. He especially enjoyed spending quality time with his children and grandchildren, and embraced life with a "dimpled" smile and kindness for others. Bobby was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Monts Meetze of Chapin, SC, and his son, Josh Cory Monts of Little Mountain, SC. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Arthur Monts of Little Mountain; sister, Mary Jane Lindler (Mike) and brother, Jimmy Monts (Debra); daughters, Dawn Mitchem (Michael Murphy), Amanda Wright and Kayla Moates. He is also survived by, and was beloved by, six grandchildren, Dawson Bundrick, Brooke Bundrick, Caleb Moates, Brady Moates, Braylin Wright and Paisley Monts. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 17, 2018 at St. Peter Lutheran Church followed by burial in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Dawson Bundrick, Caleb Moates, Brady Moates, Jason Fulmer, Austin Fulmer and Cliff Fulmer. Honorary Pallbearers are Bobby's Georgia Pacific family, Rick Shealy and Glen Amick. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 42040, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or a charity of one's choice.
