Daniels, Sr., George H.
George Henry Daniels, 90, of Hamden, passed away Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018. He was born in Bamberg, SC on Sept. 27, 1927 to the late Paul W. and Josephine Johnson Daniels. He was predeceased by his wife Catherine. George was blessed with 2 sons from a prior marriage to Ruth Lee Daniels (d): George A, Jr. (d) and Gregory A. (Jacquetta) of Meriden, CT. George served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was Honorably Discharged in 1954. After returning home from the service he relocated to Ansonia, CT and was gainfully employed by Farrel's. George also worked for Griffin Hospital and the State of CT. In additional to his son Gregory, George is survived by his sister, Hattie Bea Raysor of Bamberg, SC; granddaughter, Charnice of MD; loving niece, Naomi Campbell of New Haven; nephew, Connel B Campbell of West Haven; and a host of relatives, friends, and his Masonic Family. He was predeceased by 4 sisters and 4 brothers.
A celebration of his life will be held at Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Clinton AME Church, 96 Central Ave., Ansonia, CT. Viewing will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven. Services by Howard K. Hill Funeral Services, 1287 Chapel St, New Haven, CT 06511.
