William S. Levay
William S. Levay, 71, formerly of New Milford, CT, died Saturday, September 15, 2018.
Bill was born in Norwalk, CT, a son of Stephen and Kathleen (Krause) Levay. He graduated from Brien McMahon High School. He entered the United States Air Force and was a helicopter and airplane mechanic and was later stationed in Germany. He was a master electrician, owned and operated Levay Electric in New Milford, CT for over 40 years. He enjoyed spending time in Maine and officially moved there this year where he was building his home.
Bill is survived by his son, Brian Levay (Saco, ME), his twins, Katie Levay (Milford, CT) and Billy Levay and his wife, Taylor (Freeport, ME), two grandchildren, Peter W. Levay and expecting boy; one brother, Stephen Levay and his wife Teri (Boca Raton, FL) and nephew, Stephen Levay (Boca Raton, FL) and niece, Tricia Milici (Dallas, TX).
A graveside service will be held at Pierce Cemetery in Solon, Maine with military honors on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 10 a.m. followed by a celebration at the Legion Hall in Madison, ME. A celebration of his life will be held at the VFW in New Milford, CT on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 11 a.m.
