Michael A. Masciantonio

Masciantonio, Michael A., of Northeast Philadelphia (previously of South Philadelphia), passed peacefully Monday, September 24, 2018 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by his beloved wife and life-long sweetheart Agnes (nee Ortiz). He was also predeceased by his dear son Michael C. (Annamarie) Masciantonio. He is survived by sons, Nicholas L. (Beverly) and Thomas A. Masciantonio, his grandchildren Nicholas M., Michael Jude (Blair) and Stephanie Ann Masciantonio, great-grandchildren Michael Robert and Erin Marie, his siblings Dianne (Anthony) Canamucio and the late Regina Masciantonio. Also, In-Laws Landa (Robert) Housenick, Nicholas (Ann) Ortiz, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Michael was a hard-working skilled electrician and worked for many large corporations in his career. Michael was very devoted to his family – both immediate and extended. He was strong, kind and loving. He extended a helping hand for all in need and put other's needs before his own. He was a life-long devout Catholic and practiced his faith for the past 50 years at his beloved St. Martha's, as a proud parishioner, Eucharistic Minister and contributed many years toward maintaining the church, school and rectory. He kept the aging bells ringing under his care and was very proud to be honored with the St. Martha Hall of Fame Award. Visitation for friends and family is Friday Sept. 28th, 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, immediately followed by his Life Celebration Mass. Both will be at the Church of St. Martha's, 11301 Academy Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery 5201 Hulmeville Rd, Bensalem, PA 19020.
