1936 - 2018 SANFORD - Angela M. Mailhot, 82, of Sanford, died at her home on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018.
Angie was born in Wotton, Quebec, Canada on April 22, 1936 to Albert and Florida (Burbank) Morin. Her father died when she was very young and her mother relocated the family to Sanford where she grew up and attended local schools. In 1953 she married Raymond Mailhot and together they raised four sons and shared 65 years of marriage.
Angie was employed at several places during her working life including jobs at AeroFab in Sanford and at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. She was talented at working with wood and sheet metal and enjoyed making wood crafts and lawn ornaments which she would share with family and friends. She was a very artistic woman and had taught herself to paint. She was also an excellent cook who always enjoyed preparing delicious meals for her family. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Angie was predeceased by three sons, Mark, Richard and Brian.
Surviving are her husband, Raymond Mailhot of Sanford; her son, Roland Mailhot of Sanford; six grandchildren, Derik, Richard, Jr., Jonathan, Steven, Michelle and Danielle; two great-grandchildren, Shaelyn and Bradley and her sister, Paulette.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 3 the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home located at 29 Winter Street in Sanford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 4 at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church, located on North Avenue in Sanford.
Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
