Kenneth Charles Wood
Phoenix - The spirit of Kenneth Wood left the world on October 23, 2018, and released his mind and body. He is loved and remembered by his wife, Pauline; daughter, Corrine; and grandsons, Kevin and Joseph. Those who knew Ken (sometimes called K.C.) recall him as a quiet man with a quick creative mind, strong capable hands, and a warm and generous heart. An Arizona native, he began his career as a machinist, and retired as a Production Engineer. He was a founding partner of Systems Wire & Cable, and spent his adult career in the wire and cable manufacturing business. Because he often said, "I love what I do, and I do what I love," he was able to create his "toys" his entire life. During the course of his life he enjoyed the company of several memorable and interesting people, among them his three nephews and three cousins. Ken liked to quote Abraham Lincoln, "I feel good when I do good." In lieu of flowers, he requested donations in his name be sent to St. Mary's Food Bank and/or Hospice of the Valley (hov.org/donate). Ken wanted a private gathering to be held at a future date so no service or memorial will be scheduled. Those close to Ken know he has joined Herschell, Ed, and Bruce to hoist a brew, and he asks us all to join him in lifting a glass.

Another of the "Good Ones" has gone on to keep watch over us. I will never forget his bellowing laugh...awesome laugh. I know he is up with Dad catching up and hopefully tossing back a few brews! Shannon & Gordon Penberthy

My condolences. May the thoughts at Hosea 13:14, where God promises to reverse deaths effects, bring a measure of comfort during this difficult time.*
