Richard, so sorry to hear about your mothers passing. I have wonderful memories of her and your father with my parent sitting at the bar at their home. I thought of her as a second mother. She will be missed for sure.
My deepest condolences,

My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.

Richard... I'll always remember fondly my visit with your mom and dad in New Bern with my mom, Mary Barnick Mallas... I remember her coveting her special "secret recipe" for pineapple filling cake w special frosting topped w coconut.:) And I remember a visit I had w a girlfriend and your mom insisting we go out to her favorite Chinese restaurant. She was always such a gracious hostess. I loved her smile and laughter, which I believe you inherited. I'm so sorry for your loss; may your memories bring you peace.
Love, your cousin, (Mary) Carol Mallas Howard
