Mrs. Ruby Evatt Smith

Ruby Evatt Smith Easley, SC Mrs. Ruby Evatt Smith, 76, wife of Robert Edward "Bob" Smith, passed away Monday, October 29, 2018 at her home. Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Bruce Robert Evatt and the late Dora Marie Hayes Evatt, Mrs. Smith was a Paralegal and retired from Pickens County Family Court. She was a member of Fellowship Community Church, Liberty. Ruby loved life, but her greatest love was her family and grandchildren. Surviving, in addition to her husband of fifty-seven years, are two daughters, Sherri S. Clowser and her husband, George William Clowser, III of Lancaster, VA, and Gayla S. Smith and her husband, Tony Smith of Liberty; a sister, Bethel Hudson and her husband, Charles of Pickens; three grandchildren, Nikki Smith, Justin Smith and Tensley Clowser; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was predeceased by a brother, Jesse Bruce Evatt; and a sister, Ethel Smith. The family will host a memorial service at noon Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Fellowship Community Church, 1301 Greenville Highway, Liberty, SC 29657. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 11:45 AM Thursday at the church, prior to the service. The family is at the home. Memorials may be made to Fellowship Community Church, P.O.
