Tony and the Dodson family - I am keeping you in my prayers and very sorry for your loss. My first time meeting Ray was in high school when he picked up Tony at Andrew's house in the middle of the night. He should not have been happy because he was pulled out of his sleep to do so. Nonetheless, you wouldn't have noticed. He was stoic with his coffee in hand and summoned Tony at the door with a friendly matter-of-fact way yet completely unfazed by what time it was. He struck me as a very solid and sturdy presence! He will be missed.

My deepest sympathies to the whole family. Ray was a great man and such an important figure in the lives of Tony and his friends. He dedicated so much time to our baseball development; I will always remember him fondly. While away from his family, hopefully Ray is in a better place now.

Kathy, Sorry to hear about Ray. Haven't seen you guys in a million years. Pat Poole left me a voice mail this morning to let me know. Ray was a great catcher. Wish he had been on our St. Mary's teams.
