Mary Lou Deegan, 84, of Tinley Park, IL, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 9, 2018. She was born in 1934 in Chicago. She was the daughter of the late Karl and Anna Vogl. She spent much of her adolescence in Herrsching, Germany and came back to the United States at the age of 18 and joined the Air Force. She landed in the suburbs of Chicago in the late 1950s after meeting the love of her life, Bill, and remained there. Mary Lou will be joining her love of 57 years at her final place of rest. She is survived by her daughters, Teresa (Bill) Grandchamp, Kathy Deegan, Diane Arnold, and Susan (Jim) McLaughlin; and her daughter-in-law, Mary (late Larry, January 2015) Deegan. She was the loving grandmother to Nicole, Jessica (Joe) Nowak, Jennifer, Jaclyn, Erin, Meaghan, Jason, Daniel, Eric, Jake, and Sean; and great-grandmother to Jayden. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Eleanor Kelly; and her beloved son, Lawrence. Mary Lou was a proud Air Force Veteran, an amazing seamstress, an incredible cook, and could make just about anything-from furniture to wall art, blankets to baby clothes, and everything in between. She was an employee of Daniel's Printing and Office Supply in Oak Forest for 40 years. She was an active member of ABWA and was voted Business Women of the Year for the nationwide organization. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 12, 8:00–11:00 a.m. at Brady-Gill Funeral Home, 16600 S. Oak Park Ave.,Tinley Park.
