Richard L. Borne 1931-2018
Age 87, of East Canton, passed away Sunday November 11, 2018 in his home. He was born January 20, 1931 in Robertsville, Ohio to the late Leroy and Anna (Clapper) Borne. Richard was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran. He was formerly employed by Portec for 20 years and retired from Summitville Tile. He was a member of Indian Run Christian Church where he formerly served as a Deacon.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy J. (Smith) to whom he was married 64 years; three children, Dan (Lori) Borne, Cindy (Kevin) Grindstaff and Holly Borne; three grandchildren, Brad (Renee) Grindstaff, Kari (James) Hurley and Alisha (James) Brandenburg; nine great-grandchildren, Brenna, Noah, Nelly, Greta, Nora, Liliana, Ivy, Baby Mae and Gio; one sister, Dorothy (Larry) Slutz.
Funeral services will be Thursday November 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Indian Run Christian Church at 8368 Hill Church St SE, East Canton, OH 44730 with Terry Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Mapleton Cemetery. Friends and family will be received Wednesday 5-7 p.m. at the church and one hour before services on Thursday (10-11 a.m.) at the church.
