Dorothy Marie Geiling, 98, of Croatan Village Assisted Living, New Bern, North Carolina, died November 13, 2018. Mrs. Geiling lived in Camp Hill and Lemoyne before moving to New Bern in 2014. She was born June 7, 1920, in Harrisburg, the daughter and only child of Mary and Frank Bolan. Mrs. Geiling was a 1938 graduate of William Penn High School and attended many reunions. Mrs. Geiling worked for over 20 years at the former Dauphin Deposit Trust Company in Harrisburg. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Camp Hill for over 50 years. Mrs. Geiling enjoyed taking bus trips with other senior citizens, playing cards and Bingo. She enjoyed crocheting, needle point, knitting and doing crossword puzzles. On December 15, 1945, she married Wilford H. Geiling, who died June 15, 1967. Surviving are a son, Donald Geiling (wife Melanie), of New Bern, two granddaughters, Mrs. Heidi Deitz (husband David) of Hempstead, North Carolina and Mrs. Cassandra Baker (husband Eric) of Tigard, Oregon, two great granddaughters, Grace Deitz of Hempstead and Cheyenne Baker of Tigard, and two great grandsons, Nathan Deitz of Hempstead and Roman Baker of Tigard. She will be sadly missed by her family and the family of her late special friend, Richard Ellenberger. The family asks that contributions for scriptures be made in memory of Mrs. Geiling to The Gideons International, 50 Century Blvd., Nashville, TN 37214, www.sendtheword.org, or through a local camp of the Gideons International. A time for family and friends to visit will be held from 3 to 4:30 P.M.; Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Musselman Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 4:30 P.M. Sorry to hear about Dottie's passing. I worked with Dottie in the proof department at Dauphin Deposit in the late 1950's. She was a wonderful woman, very pleasant. She talked a lot about Donnie. By the way I have family living in New Bern.
