Eleanor L. Pivec

Eleanor L Pivec, 99, of Sanford, FL, was called Home by her Lord on Monday, November 12, 2018. She was born on August 8, 1919 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late George and Justine Lutkus. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Pivec, Sr. For most of her life Mrs. Pivec was a very active member of All Souls Catholic Church in Sanford. After raising her five children and losing her husband, she assumed ownership and operation of the family business, Larry's Mart. Friends and family were the keys to Eleanor's life. She loved beaches and springs and "muma" was much beloved during frequent visits to her daughter and many friends in the Florida Keys. She particularly loved dancing and especially dancing at weddings or while cruising with her husband. And she always loved beautiful flowers. She is survived by three sons and their wives: Lawrence Pivec, Jr (Barbara), Paul Pivec (Jan) and George Pivec (Diane), and by her daughter Joyce Unke and husband Brett. She is predeceased by her son Raymond Pivec. Mrs. Pivec is also survived by her grandchildren: Angela Dziegielewski, Rachel Woelfel, Lawrence (Trey) Pivec III, Kaysea Bruce and Paul (PJ) Pivec, Jr. She is also survived by her daughter in law, Janeen Pivec and four great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM-1 PM Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Epiphany Catholic Church, 201 Lafayette St., Port Orange, FL 32127. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery in Sanford, FL, Hardy Ave and W. 25th St. A Celebration of Life ("Happy Hour with Muma") will be held at Hidden Treasure, 5993 S Ridgewood Ave., Port Orange starting at 5 PM. Cardwell, Baggett and Summers Funeral Home, 301 Big Tree Rd., S. Daytona, FL 32119 are entrusted with the arrangements. Remembrances and condolences may be made at cardwellfuneral.com.
