Funeral Mass for Elizabeth W. Pumphrey will be held on Friday, November 23, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Justin Martyr, 35781 Stevens Blvd., Eastlake.
A visitation will be held 30 minutes before mass. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Painesville.
Mrs. Pumphrey, age 100, of Eastlake, passed away November 12, 2018.
She was born in Cleveland, on August 17, 1918, to the late Charles and Anna Walker. Elizabeth lived in Painesville before moving to Eastlake in 1990.
She was a graduate of Holy Name HS in Cleveland and employed at Lake Erie College in the financial office, retiring in 1977.
Elizabeth is survived by her children, Louis Pumphrey, David (Lenore) Pumphrey, Margaret (Robert) Jacobs, and Mary Kathleen Kilgore; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and sister, Jeannette Divito.
She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 31 years, Louis Pumphrey; daughter-in-law, Barb Pumphrey; siblings, Agnes (Louie) Capek, Dolores (John) Gallagher, Robert (Martha) Walker, Charles (Kathleen) Walker, Thomas (Lillian) Walker, and John (Evelyn) Walker.
Donations in honor Mrs. Pumphrey can be made to Wounded Warrior Project or St. Martyr-Helping Hands.

I always admired Aunt Betty. She did not hesitate to let you know her thoughts. I am happy for her, but she will be missed. Your family is in my prayers.

Aunt Betty: I still have very fond memories of the Walker family re-unions in P'ville. You really did sparkle and had a wonderful sense of humor. Rest in peace, you certainly deserve it.

It is hard to be sad because Aunt Betty was so ready to get to Heaven. What is sad is the void her children will feel without her in their lives.
