Mitchell Cranford Townsend

Mitchell Cranford Townswnd 48 of Parkton passed away Wednesday November 21, 2018. Born in Cumberland County Mitchell is the son of Lynda Tew Townsend and the late Terry Mitchell Townsend. He is also preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Lacie Tew and his paternal grandparents, Arthur & Thelma Townsend. In addition to his mother Mitchell is survived by a son, Hervey Sessoms; 2 brothers, Jody Lance Townsend & fiancee' Dana Cozine and Troy Dale Townsend & wife Jasa; maternal grandmother Shirley Ann Tew; aunts, Sharon Tew, Janice Sugar and Shelby Townsend; uncles, Kenneth Tew and Gerald Townsend. Mitchell loved nascar, football, basketball and coaching softball. He enjoyed playing cards with his father and friends and helping with his fathers deer processing facility. Mitchell worked at Purolator for many years before his health forced him to retire. He loved his family and enjoyed being around people. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 PM, Thursday, November 29, 2018 at the funeral home.
