Garfield C. "Garf" Hess
Lebanon - Garfield C. "Garf" Hess, 79, Lebanon, passed away on Sunday December 2, 2018 in Linden Village. He was born in Lebanon on August 1, 1939 a son of the late Garfield C. and Elizabeth C. Obenstine Hess. He was a graduate of Lebanon High School and had worked for the Bethlehem Steel for more than 40 years. He was an avid race car fan and enjoyed long drives. He is survived by children: Gregory C. and wife Tina (Dellinger) Hess; Cindy L. wife of Bill Shay; Debra Williams widow of the late David Williams; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister: Sandra "Sis" Smetana widow of the late Andy Smetana. Memorial services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am in the Rohland Funeral Home 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA 17042. There will be a visitation from 10:00 am to the time of service in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2595 Interstate Drive, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
