I am very sorry to have just learned of Joseph's death on 12/14/2018. My father owned and operated Hollywood Drug Store in Rockledge from 1960-68, and I would walk down Huntington Pike to his first shop, Joseph's. My first haircut was in 1963 or 1964 with him, and he was a real artist. His partner, Frank Linetti, was also very good. I was not surprised to see that Joseph won so many hairstyling awards over the years. I left PA to attend college in MT and later moved to OR and now live in WA state, but never forgot how good a person and stylist Joseph was. My late condolences to his wife and daughter.

Hardly a day goes by when I don't think of Joe. What began as a random search for a good barber turned into a 25-year friendship that I will always treasure. Friends wondered why I would travel from Delaware to Jenkintown, and later Feasterville, for a haircut, and I would simply say I was going to visit a friend who just happened to be my barber. Seeing Joe and Lois was a monthly treat. Joe a master at his craft, an unparalleled stylist who made you look and feel like a million bucks. But more than that, he was a good man. I will remember Joe for his humor, his love of politics and Italian food, and his brave fight against illness over the last several years, a fight he would tell me he could never have endured without Lois at his side. I will miss you, Joe.

Joe, You will be missed, what great times everyone had on Saturdays in the Oval Office. The jokes and
great clientele real characters. Everyone looked perfect leaving with the best hair cut anyone could get.
Joe was more than a barber he was a friend that made everyone feel welcome even during his time of battling his illness. My condolences to his wife and family. Joe you will be missed. Thanks for the many years of knowing such a talented great person. Rest in Peace.

I have been going to Joe since he moved to the Wyncote House. My mother's store, Jane's 2, was next door. He was, by far, one of the nicest people I have ever met. I will miss him a great deal. It will niot be an easy job finding that right person to do with my hair, what Joe could do. He had hands of gold. He was always supportive of me and my family when my wife Iris passed from cancer. If I am not mistaken, he gave my sons, now 33 and 40, their first haircuts. What a history and legacy. My condolences to all those who will mourn his passing.

Joe was far more than my barber for the last 45-years or so. How about a friend? A friend who happened to be CEO of the Men's Club that met regularly at his shop; especially in the wood-paneled Oval Office...a friend who was a pretty good story teller and an even better joke teller...a friend with whom I could share life's secrets...a friend who was like a brother. And I'll enjoy warm memories of my friend every time i sit in a barber's chair and think back to when Joe was clipping and we were sharing our lives.

It seems so strange not to be seeing Joe again every month as I did for the past 60 years starting in the original Rockledge shop when I was about 10 years old.
He was such a likable and talented guy with so many fascinating stories and humor. Joe battled several illnesses bravely and didn't complain. He will be dearly missed by his family and his many friends.
Rest in peace my friend!
