So Sad to hear of the passing of Mr Curran. As a child growing up in Springvale Mr Curran and our Dad were good mates and every morning before Mr Curran would start work at the stables across the road from our home on Surrey Rd, he would take the newspaper from our letterbox sit on our fence read the newspaper then when he was done put the paper back in the letterbox and go about his day at the stables.Always remembered him from the jockey trainers cap he would always wear and the happy look he always had on his face. One day I can remember he shook my hand just as I was heading off to school and it was like shaking steel his hands were that hardened from the work he done over the years.Such a nice man too.But when the stables were moved for housing we didn't really see much of Mr Curran apart from the odd time at the shops or around town. Our Love and Prayers go out to his Family at this sad time, and may you Rest In Peace Mr Curran.
