Barbara L. Harvey

Barbara L. Harvey, 76, of Bangor, PA, passed away peacefully on Jan. 2, 2019, at home surrounded by her family.
Barbara was the beloved wife of Stephen F. Harvey, with whom she had celebrated 53 years of marriage.
Born on Nov. 12, 1942, in Muncy, PA, she was the daughter of the late Stephanie (nee Hubiak) and Carl Neufer and was a 1960 graduate of Turnpike High School in Mildred, PA.
Barbara has spent the last 40-plus years living in the Poconos area, raising her children in Winona Lakes and eventually moving to Bangor, PA. A love of travel had taken her and Stephen to over 20 countries.
Barbara was the dedicated mother of Jill A. Eckhardt (husband, Gary) of Pen Argyl, PA; Craig S. Harvey (fiancee, Jessica) of Harpursville, NY; Erica H. Burns (husband, Christopher) of Chester Springs, PA; Todd S. Harvey (wife, Patty) of Pittsburgh, PA; and daughter-in-law, Catherine Harvey Carello of Binghamton, NY.
She was the dearly loved grandmother of Gary, Cory and Sara Eckhardt; Caileen, Connor (companion, Jessica), CJ, Claire and Aiden Harvey; Molly and Owen Burns; and Fionn and Cordelia Harvey, as well as her identical twin great-granddaughters, Chloe and Quinn Harvey.
Barbara is also survived by sisters, Nancy Loporcaro (husband, Michael) of Hawley, PA, and Rose Bizup (husband, Richie) of Lopez, and a brother, Robert Neufer (wife, Kathy) of Lopez.
Rose Anne Pignatello (husband, Jim) of Chatham, NJ, is a special cousin who was considered a sister. Barbara is also survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews who reside all over the county.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Barbara's life will be held on Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, from 12 noon to 2 p.m.,with services at 2 p.m., in the Fiore Funeral Home, www.fiorefuneralhome.com, 230 Market St., Bangor, PA. Internment will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family at St. Vladimir's Russian Orthodox Cemetery, in Lopez, PA.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara's name can be made to either St. Vladimir's Russian Orthodox Church, at 211 Main St., Lopez, PA 18628, or to the American Cancer Society, Lehigh Valley Unit, 3893 Adler Pl., No. 170, Bethlehem, PA 18017.

My heart goes out to all of Barbara family. She was a very special person. I will miss shopping and laughing when we try on clothes.
She would make you forget your troubles with her smile. Everyone will miss her but she is now in a better place. She will now be a special angel
