Jonathan Fritch Obituary

Published by Colonial Funeral Home & Crematory on Jan. 5, 2019.
Jonathan Joseph Fritch, age 33, of McHenry, passed away January 5, 2019. He was born October 1, 1985 in Woodstock, the son of Robert J. Fritch Jr. and Nancy Ann Luttrell. Jonathan loved bugs, traveling and exploring Mayan ruins. He enjoyed sending lots of pictures to his friends as well as playing with fire sticks and poi balls. He loved to fish and play disc golf with friends. On occasion was known to have small bonfires (nothing big of course) with friends. He was a very generous man and a good cook which he enjoyed greatly. Jonathan had a large and extensive collection of nerf guns as well as large array of Coca Cola collectables. He will be remembered as a very snappy dresser who had a massive collection of DC shoes, enough to make any woman jealous. Jonathan had a master talent for the construction of paver patios, sidewalks and driveways. He was a master Lego builder, who also had a talent for finding four leaf clover anywhere he went. He was also an avid concert and rave attendee, as well as a connoisseur of specialty beers and wines. If he wasn't out doing these other many things he would be online gaming with many people from different places and countries and forming friendships in the process. With all of these things in mind Jonathan should be remembered for having a thirst for life, discovery of new things, places, and making true friendships. Jonathan is survived by his parents, Nancy Luttrell and Bob (Heather,Owen) Fritch; brother, Preston Robert (Beth) Fritch and their children; and nephew Logan Lechner. He is further survived by his grandmother, Virginia Fritch; aunts, Donna Murray, Margaret (Roger) Angelkorte, Lea (Michael) Arnold, Tammy Fritch, and Sue (Edward) McIntosh; and cousins, Tim, Andy, Kate, Craig, Emily, Sarah, Erin, and Scott. Jonathan was preceded in death by his brother, Jeremy Lechner; grandfather, Robert Fritch, Sr.; and grandparents, Leo and Patricia (Schmidt) Luttrell. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019, from 4-8 p.m., at Colonial Funeral Home, 591 Ridgeview Drive, McHenry. Visitation will continue on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at the funeral home from 9-10 a.m. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Windridge Cemetery.

My dearest Nancy, my deepest condolences to you and your family. I haven't seen Jonathan for years, but know you are a loving Mother. I also know his brother Preston, his family and all your sisters and their families will all gather together to celebrate Jonathan's life. He was taken from us too soon but I'm sure Our Lord needed him more. He has joined his brother Jeremy and all our relatives in heaven. My heart aches for all of you. But this I know for sure, All of our relatives are in a much better place than us for all eternity. Until we all meet again, Lord please help them to find peace and help them remember all the great times shared with Jonathan. God bless all of you

Jon, My memories of you growing up was this happy child. Always a smile on your face. Your lego builds were amazing. You were keen to learn more about the native american after Grampa would tell his stories by the fire. I will miss your hugs and warm conversations. You will be deeply missed my nephew.
