Our paths crossed a few years ago. Patrick was prosecuting a case involving my son.Although we were on opposite sides in this matter, Patrick treated us with dignity and empathy . We will always remember this about this fine attorney...But, more importantly....just a nice guy!

Patrick was a fantastic human and dedicated to the mission of criminal justice. I worked with Patrick in a professional capacity on international matters. He was engaging, kind, and diligent. The world is safer thanks to his hard work. He will be greatly missed.

I would like to offer my deepest sympathy to the family . It's in times like these when the loving promises of our Heavenly Father, like that of seeing your dear loved ones again, can bring you comfort and can even soften some of the pain that you are feeling deep in your hearts.-1Thessalonians 4:13,14*

I met Patrick when he was twelve years old had saw him grow into a teen shining star. His accomplishments in so many fields demonstrate the star is a truly special one, a super nova. To all his family, especially Susan and Robert whom I know, my deepest sympathies. L

I have known Patrick for about five years through work (Patrick the prosecutor and I am an agent). Patrick was so unique, basically an original in a world of imitators.
I was very interested in Patricks college reunions to see big football games. In fact, I was working with Patrick on a Friday once and he said he was in a rush to catch a flight to Tallahassee. I told Patrick that is where I went to college and he said he and his friends were going to the Florida State-Notre Dame game that weekend. Needless to say I was enthused and we emailed back and forth that weekend.
Following, we always spoke about college football and college in general but perhaps not enough because I just learned today, at the funeral, that we are SAE Fraternity brothers, although from different colleges (Patrick from Yale and me, Florida State).
And then I thought about it and Patrick would fit right in at FSU SAE in 1983 as he did at Yale.
Just a great all around person.
The world is a better place for the years you were here Patrick.
You are a True Gentleman.

I have known Patrick since he was 13 years old. From the moment I met him I knew he was a special person-kind, smart, funny and thoughtful. I saw him develop into an exceptional and successful adult. My deepest sympathies to Sarah, Connor, Molly and Mac and to Susan and Robert. My heart is broken

Preet closed his recent podcast with a glowing tribute to Patrick, so I was compelled to learn more about him. After doing so, I have concluded that Preet's praise of Patrick was not overstated. It is people like Patrick that make this country great. Please accept my deepest sympathies for your heartbreaking loss.

Patrick, the world is worse off now that you are not with us, yet watch and guide us from where you are.

I was made aware of Patrick's passing while listening to Preet's podcast today.
Although I didn't know Patrick. I feel that it's very important that all of his loved ones know that there are many many more good, caring and concerned among us than not.
God Bless

My condolences to the family. I knew Patrick only through his father Bob Egan. Bob would say how proud he was of Patrick and his accomplishment and spoke of him with great love and affection.
